A research workshop discussing activities in the area of Precision Agriculture is planned for November 7.
This event will be an opportunity for researchers in precision animal health and production can exchange information and forge new collaborations. This will also serve as a conduit to solidify the foundation of precision agriculture at the University of Guelph.
The conceptual framework for PATRIC (Precision Agriculture Technology, Research, Innovation & Commercialization) has been outlined and a large FedDev application is now being developed in support of PATRIC, says Shayan Sharif, Pathobiology, who is organizing the workshop. While the workshop will be held at OVC, it encompasses researchers and representatives from across the University of Guelph campus, industry and government.
