The Cobalt Caracals and Scarlet Stags have teamed up to help showcase the OVC at College Royal’s Teddy Bear Surgery this year and they’re asking everyone to join them in making this year’s event a huge success.
The classes are hosting a “Teddy Bear Picnic” on Tuesday at lunch hour outside the OVC cafeteria to raise awareness and funding/supplies for one of College Royal’s signature events. Some families new to the College Royal scene may not come prepared and we do not want them to miss out! If you have a teddy bear you’re willing to part with, please consider donating it for Teddy Bear Surgery at the Teddy Bear Picnic on Tuesday. Cash donations will also be accepted to offset the cost of bandage supplies, additional teddy bears, and other supplies required for the event.
Children and their parents will have the ultimate experience at this year’s Teddy Bear Surgery. They will get a real-life clinic feeling as their teddy bears go through the surgical process from intake to discharge. Children will get to participate in their teddy bear’s physical examination, review blood work under a microscope, prepare for surgery with gloving and gowning, and then take part like a real surgeon! Their teddy bears will have any injuries repaired and bandaged, get replacement eyes if needed, and/or receive their very own heart.
