Ann Maslen (l) and Wendy Arthur.
About 70 friends and colleagues got together Dec. 5 for a retirement celebration in honour of longtime Biomedical Sciences staff members Ann Maslen and Wendy Arthur.
Maslen, a laboratory instructor, worked in the department for 25 years.
“I always thought it was really neat to work in a place where there were horses and cows in the pastures just outside the door and cats and dogs wandering the halls,” Maslen says. “Where else can you turn a corner and almost run into a hawk or owl?”
Arthur, secretary to the chair and graduate program secretary, has held a variety of positions during her 40-year career the University of Guelph. She worked in the chair’s office for 18 years.
