The OVC Health Sciences Centre continues to reach out to local practitioners with Veterinary Team Appreciation Rounds.

The monthly sessions have been very well attended and feedback from referring vets has been positive. Each event explores timely topics in veterinary medicine with OVC specialists leading the discussion with information gleaned from recent cases in the OVC Health Sciences Centre.
Over 60 people attended the most recent rounds session that featured Dr. Chantale Pinard discussing common ophthalmic procedures performed in private practice. Her talk received glowing reviews from numerous participants.
“The lecture was relevant to a practicing veterinarian and I will be able to use many ideas immediately,” wrote Dr. Jennifer Merry of Clappison Animal Hospital. “This is the type of continuing education I find most useful. It makes me a better veterinarian and my patients benefit.”
The next rounds session is scheduled for Jan. 27 and featured Dr. Hugues Beaufrère, head of the HSC’s avian and exotics service. His talk will focus on common emergencies in companion birds.
