Did you know…..
If you, as a faculty member would like to invite an academic visitor to the University of Guelph, there is an approved process that was implemented by the Provost’s office.  We would be happy to support you with the process.  All you have to do is email ovcsashr@uoguelph.ca with some basic details and we will guide you through the process.  For your information, this Word document from the Provost outlines the process.  Please note that for international visitors, there is a requirement to submit a fee to the government in order to begin the process.  This is a government of Canada requirement.  We will do all that we can to make the process as easy as possible for you and the visitor.

Did you also know…..
That retired faculty who no longer have a current UG id card (i.e. the iClass version) can request a current id card through the Administrative Assistant to the Chair/Faculty (ACF) in each department.  The ACFs (Kim Best, Linda Kraemer, Linda Wing and Elizabeth Gilbertson) will work closely with SAS management to make sure this process is managed in a timely way.  We have an approved University standard operating process to follow which will allow these individual the right to obtain an ID card.  Once an ID is obtained, access to buildings that are on the proximity card system can be facilitated with appropriate approvals.
