New Survey to identify key factors in expression of dog resource guarding

Researchers at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph are looking for dog owners to take part in a new survey aimed at identifying key factors involved in the expression of canine resource guarding. 

The study is conducted by PhD candidate, Jackie Jacobs alongside advisor. Dr. Lee Neil, Campbell Chair in Companion Animal Welfare in the department of Population Medicine Department.

Participants will be answer questions about their dog’s personality, living environment, training, history and behaviour.

This survey takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and in appreciation for participants will be entered for a chance to win 1 of 4 $150 visa gift cards.

All dog owners can participate, regardless of their dog’s behaviour around resources.
