Two doorways into the Companion Animal Hospital (building 44) using pin pad entry will change over to the Genetec card access on Thursday, January 15.
You will need an electronic access card to get into the building through these doors. Other doors into the buildings will not be affected and will operate as before.
Those who already have a hospital identification card or a University of Guelph identification card will have access. If you do not have either of these cards, or if your cards do not work, you will need to go to the registrar’s office and get a new UofG card.
The two doors affected will be the west entrance to building 44, located beside the OVC receiving dock entering the administration hallway, and the door located closest to the east entrance which opens directly into the hospital animal wards area and employee parking.
All OVC persons with an electronic access card have been given access to the west door beside OVC receiving. Only hospital staff will be given access to the east doorway beside the animal wards.
