OVC is in the process of migrating a number of doors from keys and key pads to swipe entries. This is part of a campus-wide security project using the new Genetec security system.
A number of OVC buildings, including Pathobiology, Clinical Skills (Building 47) and the Primary Healthcare Centre, already have this security system in place. This project will bring the rest of the OVC buildings, including the main building, Clinical Research and the Lifetime Learning Centre, into this security system.
Access to the Companion Animal Hospital, will change over in the next couple of months as part of the hospital renovation. The remainder of the buildings will be updated over the next few months.
There will information and forms available on the process to update the security on employee cards as this rollout gets closer.
