U of G’s 50th-anniversary celebrations will be officially launched tomorrow — the newly proclaimed Lincoln Alexander Day.
Celebrate everything that makes Guelph special by joining your colleagues Jan. 21 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The kickoff will include formal remarks, the premiere of the 50th-anniversary video and a slice of cake in the University Centre courtyard. Everyone is welcome.
There will also be a kickoff concert on Thursday featuring Eccodeck in the University Centre courtyard at noon. Eccodek weaves together the sounds of Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, Turkey and beyond over propulsive beats, cinematic electronica and deep funk. The Juno-nominated global dub fusion project releases its sixth album, Singing in Tongues, in spring 2014.
