University of Guelph president Alastair Summerlee will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Future Vets Club symposium.
The 2014 symposium, titled “Beyond Your DVM: One Degree, A World of Opportunity,” will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the OVC Lifetime Learning Centre.
Registration starts at 9 a.m.
The opening speaker will be Dr. Greg Douglas, chief veterinarian of Ontario. Workshops will feature talks by veterinarians on different aspects of veterinary medicine including research, small animal surgery, parasitology, emergency medicine, nutrition and pharmaceuticals.
Tickets are $10 for Future Vets Club members and $15 for non-members to attend the morning and afternoon workshops, lunch and keynote presentation.
