A Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Population Disease Modelling with Ontario Veterinary College professor Amy Greer was recently renewed.

Greer, in OVC’s Department of Population Medicine, studies the impacts of infectious diseases in humans and animals. By developing disease transmission models, she aims to improve control strategies and inform public health decision-making.
Canada Research Chairs are funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
In addition to the renewal of this existing chair, two new Canada Research Chairs (CRC) were recently announced at the University of Guelph.
