The OVC Health Sciences is recruiting a Centre Chief Medical Officer who will serve a five-year term (renewable once for an additional five years following review and a determination of satisfactory performance).
The incumbent will develop, coordinate and oversee clinical service delivery in the OVC Health Sciences Centre (OVC HSC) working in collaboration with the Associate Dean, Clinical Program, administrative team and medical staff leaders. The CMO will report to the Associate Dean Clinical Program and oversee the work of the Clinic Heads. The CMO will be tasked with ensuring quality healthcare and service delivery by clinicians while they are assigned to the OVC HSC [clinicians, trainees (intern, resident, DVSc), veterinarians, and faculty (during their assignment to clinical service)] and help build, motivate, and support quality healthcare and service delivery though ensuring a relationship-centered clinical practice model, creating and encouraging a collegial and participatory environment where trust, integrity and open communication are valued throughout the OVC HSC.
