For a number of years, various OVC departments have reached out to lift the spirits of families in need during the holiday season.
This year, OVC has decided to ‘adopt’ three families during the holiday season through The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington Adopt-A-Family Program.
Participation in this program is entirely voluntarily. As a team, we are hoping many of us will participate to lift the spirits of these families during the holidays.
You’ll find poster boards adorned with gift tags to select from in the Sunken Lounge in HSC, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Studies, Pathobiology and Population Medicine administrative offices and outside the Dean’s Office. These gift ideas have been provided with input from our adopted family. Cash donations are also gratefully accepted.
Once you have selected a gift tag, please email Linda Wing at lwing@uoguelph.ca with the number from the tag you have chosen.
Please bring all unwrapped gifts and/or donations with the gift tag from the poster boards to Kim Best in Biomedical Sciences, Linda Kraemer in Population Medicine, Marni Struyk in Pathobiology, Victoria Wentzell in the Health Sciences Centre, Linda Wing in Clinical Studies, or Karen Mantel, Dean’s Office by Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
Tax Receipts are available for any donation over $20 in value. Please ask any of us for a tax form and provide this to us by December 4 with your attached receipts.
Thank you to each of you for supporting our families.
