We are now in that time of year when there are large fluctuations in temperatures and it becomes challenging to maintain indoor air temperatures at normal set points.
Most of our HVAC systems on campus are designed to be either in heating mode or cooling mode and it takes days to convert the campus from one mode to the other. Until very recently, overnight temperatures have been below freezing with a real risk of freezing coils and causing building floods and extensive damage.
We have been actively switching to cooling for the last ten days. With hundreds of HVAC units on campus, this is a large task. Thank you for your patience until the work is completed.
We
anticipate completion of the changeover by Tuesday, May 8.
