Two OVC students recently received awards from the Western Veterinary Conference.
Congratulations to DVSc student Taika von Königslöw, OVC 2015, who won the Dr. Bruce Wren Food Animal Incentive Award, and to Laura Hartman, OVC 2019, who received one of the Dr. Jack Walther Leadership Awards.

The Dr. W. Bruce Wren Food Animal Incentive Awards recognize recent graduates from veterinary colleges or schools to encourage veterinarians to enter food animal practice or other careers directly related to food animal practice, such as food animal education and/or research; assist in the development of leadership skills and aid in the progress of future leaders in food animal practice and related activities; and showcase the educational enrichment opportunities offered by WVC.
The Dr. Jack Walther Leadership Awards recognizes veterinary students who portray leadership and promote a lifelong service to the profession. This annual award is bestowed upon 36 DVM Students from accredited veterinary colleges and schools, who are actively involved and show long-term leadership potential.
Award winners will attend the 2018 WVC Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 4-8, 2018.
