Dr. Hugues Beaufrère
The chief of the OVC Health Sciences Centre’s avian and exotic medicine service has been recognized by his peers as an emerging leader.
Dr. Hugues Beaufrère will receive the Donald W. Zantop Emerging Leader Award from the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV). The award was established in memory of Dr. Donald Zantop, a Maryland veterinarian who enjoyed teaching and inspired many veterinarians to advance new ideas and techniques in avian medicine, to share their knowledge and expertise, promote their specialty and become involved in the AAV.
The award will be presented in August at the AAV’s annual conference in Jacksonville, Fla.
